The admit cards for the same may be collected from 12th September, 2016 to 22nd September, 2016 from the office of the SPSC, Old Tourism Complex, M.G. Marg on all working days between 10:30 am to 03:00 pm. After the scheduled dates no admit cards shall be issued.

This is for information to the Junior Engineer (Civil) working in various Departments on temporary basis, who have applied for 104 posts of Junior Engineer (Civil) (Special Provision) under the Roads & Bridges Department, Government of Sikkim, that the schedule/time of the Written Examination has been fixed as under:

Date : 25.09.2016
PAPER – I GENERAL ENGLISH & GENERAL KNOWLEDGE 09:30 AM to 11:30 AM.
PAPER– II CIVIL ENGINEERING 01:00 PM to 04:00 PM.

Admission to all the stages of examination for which candidates are admitted by the Commission viz: Written Examination and Viva-Voce will be purely provisional, subject to their satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions.

If on verification at any point of time before or after the Written Examination and Viva-Voce, it is found that they do not fulfill any of the eligibility conditions, their candidature for the examination/post will be cancelled by the Commission.

Examination Scheme :
The Written examination will consist of 2 papers. Objective type/Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) based on OMR sheet and conventional mode.

Paper-I: General English & General Knowledge (Objective & Subjective)- 100 marks. – Time – 2 hrs.
PAPER – I: GENERAL ENGLISH & GENERAL KNOWLEDGE.
(i) General English: – Candidate will be required to answer questions designed to test their understanding of English language. The patterns of question would be broadly as follows :
(a) Comprehension of given passage.
(b) Usages of words and vocabulary
(c) Preparation of Report Writing.

(ii) General Knowledge
: (Objective) – Knowledge of current events of the State, National and International Importance, Civil Engineering related issues.

PAPER – II : CIVIL ENGINEERING Time – 3 hrs.
(i) Objective/Multiple Choice Questions – 100 marks.
(ii) Subjective/Conventional – 200 marks.
Total – 300 marks.
