Pattern and syllabus of Entrance Examination for B.Ed. programme
Pattern:
Total Marks : 100 Marks
Type of Questions : Objective type Questions
The test will be divided into four parts of 25 marks and 25 questions each. Medium of Entrance Examination will be English only.
Part A : General Awareness Test = 25 Marks
Part B : Teaching Aptitude Test = 25 Marks
Part C : General Mental Ability Test = 25 Marks
Part D : Language Proficiency Test = 25 Marks
Syllabus:
Part-A: General Awareness
Part-A of entrance test will broadly cover of the following areas:
Education, General Science, Social Science, Literature, Art & Culture,Sports, Current Events ( Political, Social, Economic),Government policies on Education, Who’ and who
Part B: Teaching Aptitude Test
Questions of Part-B will be related to various dimensions of teaching aptitude like:
1. Knowledge of teaching learning process including distance & open Education.
2. Audio-visual aids and mass media.
3. Values as enshrined in Indian Constitution.
4. Awareness about national organizations concerned with education at different levels and different objects.
5. Aptitude for teaching profession teacher’s personal characteristics and their adjustments.
6. Classrooms problems of learning and their solutions.
7. Examination, evaluation and assessment
8. ICT in Education
9. School & Society.
Part-C: General Mental Ability Test
Questions of Part-C will be constructed so as to test the reasoning ability of the students and cover in general the following areas:
Number series, Classification, Analogies, Synonyms or Antonyms , Coding and Decoding ,Blood Relationships. ,Direct sense test , Logical Venn Diagrams ,Syllogium
Part-D: Language Proficiency (English & Hindi)
Questions/test items under this part will cover the following areas:
1. Grammar
2. Idioms and Vocabulary
3. Correction and punctuation
4. Do as directed
5. Books & Authors
