West Bengal Civil Service Exam Admit Card

Public Service Commission, West Bengal will be conducting the West Bengal Civil Service (Exe.) etc. (Preliminary) Examination, 2023 at different venues in Kolkata and outlying centres on the 16th December, 2023 (Saturday) from 12:00 Noon to 2:30 P.M. The Commission will upload the e-Admit Cards for the examination for the convenience of the provisionally eligible candidates in its website on and from 1st December, 2023. To Download Admit Card follow the below steps

Instructions for Admit Card

Candidates are directed to carry two copies of identical stamp size photographs along with the proof of any photo identity, in original, such as Madhyamik or equivalent certificate bearing photograph or Passport or PAN Card or EPIC(Voter Identity) Card or Driving License and the printout of e-Admit Card at the venue of the Examination. No paper Admit Card will be issued for this examination by the Commission.

The candidates are also advised to take a printout of the e-Admit Card (i.e. Hard Copy) well in advance to avoid last minute rush. Soft copy of the Admit Card will not be accepted in the Venue of examination.

In case any discrepancy in the e-Admit Card is noted or any difficulty in downloading of Admit Card is faced by the candidates, the same may be brought to the notice of the Commission’s office immediately through the Commission’s helpdesk.

Calculator, Mobile phone, Smartwatch and other electronic gadgets of communication are strictly banned in the campus of the examination hall.

Important Instructions

** Candidates should check the Admit Card carefully and bring discrepancies, if any, to the notice of the Commission’s office immediately.
** Under no circumstances admission will be allowed without the valid Admit Card downloaded from the Commission’s website.
** Admission to the examination is purely provisional subject to determination of eligibility in terms of the advertisement.

** Candidates are required to bring two identical stamp size photographs along with any one of the following documents in original : (i) Madhyamik or equivalent certificate bearing photograph, (ii) Passport, (iii) PAN Card, (iv) EPIC (Voter Identity Card), (v) Driving Licence and (vi) any other ID proof issued by the State/Central Govt.

** PLEASE NOTE THAT THE ENTRY INTO THE EXAMINATION VENUE SHALL BE CLOSED 10 MINUTES BEFORE THE SCHEDULED TIME OF COMMENCEMENT OF THE EXAMINATION i.e. 11:50 A.M. NO CANDIDATE SHALL BE ALLOWED TO ENTER INTO THE EXAMINATION VENUE AFTER THE CLOSING TIME.

** Candidates should reach the Examination Venue 1 (one) hour before and enter the Examination Hall at least 30 (thirty) minutes before commencement of the examination.
** A candidate will under no circumstances be allowed to appear in a venue other than the allotted one. No request for change of venue of the examination will be entertained.
** The candidates should use only BLACK BALL POINT PEN for making all the entries as well as darkening the ovals in the Attendance Sheets as well as OMR Answer Sheets. They are advised to bring their own Black Ball Point Pens.
** No candidate will be allowed to leave the examination hall before the scheduled hour of conclusion of the examination.
** Adoption of any kind of unfair means during the examination will entail penal action as would be deemed fit by the Commission.
** Candidates having benchmark disabilities with limitation in writing including that of speed (i.e. PwBDS candidates) will be allowed 50 (FIFTY) MINUTES compensatory time (i.e. @ 20 minutes per hour).

** Candidates having benchmark disabilities with limitation in writing including that of speed and requiring the help of a Scribe (i.e. PwBDS candidates) as indicated in the application form are requested to engage their own Scribe. The Scribe must have academic qualification one step below the qualification of the candidate taking the Examination.

** PERSONS WITH BENCHMARK DISABILITIES WITH LIMITATION IN WRITING INCLUDING THAT OF SPEED (i.e. PwBDS CANDIDATES) ARE ADVISED TO BRING CERTIFICATE FROM A COMPETENT AUTHORITY IN THIS REGARD (APPENDIX – I) ISSUED ON OR BEFORE 14.05.2023 AND PRODUCE THE SAME IN THE EXAMINATION HALL ON DEMAND FOR VERIFICATION AND FOR AVAILING OF COMPENSATORY TIME AND OR SCRIBE.

** A candidate having completed his/her OMR Answer Sheet must hand it over, even if blank, to the invigilator before leaving the examination hall. The OMR Answer Sheet must on no account be left on the desk.
** There may be arrangement for frisking of the candidates at the entry point of the venue.
** Wearing of Mask/Face Cover is advised for all Candidates. Candidates, however, will have to remove their Mask/Face Cover for verification whenever required by the examination functionaries.
** Candidate may carry his/her own hand sanitizer (small size) and drinking water in transparent bottles.
** Candidates will have to follow extant COVID protocol at the venues during the currency of the examination.
