Admit Card for The West Bengal Post Doctoral Medical Admission Test – 2015

Selection process :
The selection of candidates for admission to D.M. / M.Ch. Courses will be done on the basis of the marks obtained in the WBPDMAT-2015 (written and interview). Absence in interview will disqualify a place in the merit list.

Applicants will be provisionally allowed to appear in the WBPDMAT-2015. (Written test) provided he/she has submitted online and offline application in the prescribed form strictly following direction in Appendix-I within the last date and has fulfilled the eligibility criteria outlined above.

The question papers for the Admission Tests shall be set in English

The question paper (MCQs) for the written test for D.M. / M. Ch. (3 years) Course shall be of 100 marks for 100 MCQs. Filling up forms for DM/MCh discipline/ disciplines depends upon entry point eligibility of MD/MS/DNB disciplines.

Distinct separate question paper for DM courses.
(A) For DM in—
(1) Medical Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, Neurology, Nephrology, Rheumatology, Hepatology, Cardiology, MCQs will be set from MD/DNB (General Medicine), MD/DNB (Paediatric Medicine), MD/DNB (Respiratory Medicine)
(2) Neonatology, MCQs will be set from MD /DNB Paediatrics.
(3) Clinical Hematology MCQs will be set from MD/DNB (General Medicine), MD/DNB (Pathology) and MD/DNB (Biochemistry).
(4) Clinical Pharmacology, MCQs will be set from MD/DNB (Pharmacology).
(5)Cardiac Anesthesiology, MCQs will be set from MD/DNB (Anesthesiology).

(B) For MCh courses, there will be one set of MCQs from MS/DNB General Surgery.

Any candidate may opt for one discipline or more than one discipline if s/he possesses entry point eligibility qualification. Candidate with MD/DNB (Pediatrics) may opt for DM ( Neonatology) and candidates with MD/DNB (General Medicine/ Biochemistry/ Pathology) may opt for DM (Clinical Hematology) for which written Test will be done on different slot on the same day.

The total time allowed for written test is 80 minutes.

Total marks for the Written Test will be of 100 marks for 100 MCQs. A candidate will be awarded one (1) mark for every correct answer. More than one response to any question will be regarded as incorrect answer.

There is no negative marking for incorrect answer or no answer.

Qualifying minimum marks for empanelment for interview will be 50 marks (50%) in the written test.
